unwrapped apps source

Small, fast desktop apps.

Unwrapped is a few native apps written in Rust, each one a replacement for an app we found slow, heavy or stuck on one platform.

They share one set of components, so they look and behave alike. They’re open source. Most of it is early.

Native

No browser engine inside. Each app draws its own interface on the GPU, using your system’s font, title bar and shortcuts.

Measured

Every app aims to open in under 300 ms and idle under 100 MB. Benchmarks run on each change, and a regression fails the build.

Shared

The foundation holds the components, theme, packaging and benchmarks. Apps are GPL-3.0; the foundation is MIT or Apache-2.0.
